Today I want to share my 10 daily healthy habits with you, which I do every single day. These few habits make my day so much easier and help me to be healthy. I would recommend you to implement these steps into your daily routine, they are super easy and simple to follow. You just need to stick to them and you will quickly feel so much more energised, organised and healthy.

1. Wake up and go to bed at the same time every day

It is proven that we feel more energised, if we go to bed and wake up at the same time every day. Set yourself a time when you want to go to sleep and when you wake up so your body gets used to the routine and you can kickstart your day in the morning.

2. Drink lemon water when you wake up

When you sleep your body dehydrates, so it’s important to drink a big glass of water in the morning. Add some lemon juice and wait 20 minutes with your breakfast and you’ll see how it will get your digestion going, it is also great to get that glowy skin.

3. Eat Breakfast

Eating breakfast in the morning is so important to get your metabolism running and ensuring constant energy levels throughout the day. If you cant get anything down so early in the morning try drinking a smoothie or protein shake.

4. Write a to-do list

Writing a to-do list every morning (or in the evening before) will help you stay organised throughout the day and will make sure you get everything done. It is also a great feeling to check off the things you have completed at the end of the day and gives you a sense of accomplishment.

5. Get Moving

Most of us are sitting all day which makes it so important to get moving. Studies show, that you should do 10.000 steps a day for a fit and healthy body. I like to go to the gym for 2 hours, if you are not into that you can do a home workout (which I’ll post soon), go for a long walk or jog.

6. Eat 2 cups veggies and fruits

I stick to eating fruit or veggie for every meal in the day. Make your salads as colourful as possible and don’t think you need to cut back on fruits because of fruit sugar. Swap your sugary cereal, cookies, chocolate with fruits and it will change your life!

7. Hydrate

Drink constantly 2-3 litres of water or tea throughout the day and not all at once, you should also be drinking between your meals instead of with your meals to avoid digestion problems.

8. Plan your meals ahead

This will avoid eating on the go! Eating on the go is such a big problem, because often we don’t have healthy options available plus we don’t know how the food has been prepared. A salad may seem like a healthy optio, but may end up being just as unhealthy as a burger! So always take a protein bar with you.

9. Get enough sleep

You should get about 7-9 hours of sleep every night to be fully recovered and energised the next day.

10. Turn off all electronics 30 min before sleeping

This will help you get a better and deeper sleep & it will also help you fall asleep at your planned time.

Love, Vanessa
